You have to go back pretty far to see a better example of Washington kabuki than that being played out at the moment in the Congress as regards the topic of immigration reform. You have to go back pretty far to see a better puppet show. You have to go back pretty far to see an alleged political cliffhanger with such an utterly predictable outcome. I'm not kidding. This debate makes anything put on by Vince McMahon look like The Usual Suspects.
Let's see where she stands, OK? Yesterday, an amendment leaped over "a key hurdle" in the Senate. Zoom! Look! There's goes the amendment! Fly, amendment, fly! The amendment in question mandates that we spend an absurd amount of money on "border security" because we love to spend absurd amounts of money on anything that looks remotely military or remotely like law enforcement, and "border security" looks a lot like both. We will also spend an absurd amount of money on "border security" because that was the only way to bribe enough Republicans to vote in such a way as to allow the amendment to clear the "key hurdle." So what was the "key hurdle." Enough senators voted for the amendment to spend an absurd amount of money on "border security" to allow the amendment itself to be voted on in the Senate.
(I think my favorite moment came when Senator John Cornyn, the box-turtle enthusiast from Texas, after having done everything he could to slow-play the entire process, announced gravely that he could not support an amendment "cobbled together at the 11th hour." Yes. Your Honor, have pity on me, the poor orphan.)
In turn, the amendment, and the absurd amount of money it spends on "border security," allegedly will be enough to persuade a sufficient number of senators to pass the "bipartisan" bill itself. The bill then will be delivered over to the kind ministrations of the monkeyhouse over which John Boehner nominally presides.
Where it will be torn into tiny bits and tossed up in front of an electric fan. Pieces of it will be seen floating over the Blue Ridge Mountains by suppertime.
The evening bag is every woman’s dream come true. Without the bag, there would literally be no outfit and without an outfit your fabulous self would be sitting home looking for a new evening bag. Are we right? The evening bag is this beautiful thing that comes in an unlimited amount of variations from shapes, sizes, fabrics, colors, embellishments, etc. etc. This list of how many evening bags we love would take too long to write in one day so we just wanted to narrow it down and show you our favorite three from our accessory collection. All of the bags are so different and yet they all serve us the same purpose: hold our lip gloss and cell phone and obviously complement the outfit. Evening bags can be very formal to a little more casual and playful because every occasion calls for variation and you do not want you to be stuck with just one or two, this time we want you to get a little overwhelmed and get them all because just like shoes, you can never have enough clutches.
One favorite evening bag does not take precedence over the others and so we will start with our July Seven convertible glitter texture metallic frame rectangular clutch. Decorated in a pattern that is just covered with glitter, this little clutch shines to the extreme in seven various colors. Featuring a jeweled clasp and a metallic chain, this little bag converts from your hand to your shoulder. When wearing this clutch alone, no other accessory is needed. Rose Byrne attended the Oscars in a gorgeous whine gown and complemented her gown with a glittering hard clutch from Swarovski. This women really knows that glitter is key to any fabulous ensemble.
Another formal little hand decoration is the July Seven all-over rose satin rhinestone accented clutch. The entire evening bag is made to look like a gorgeous bouquet of blooming roses made out of soft and pretty satin. The clutch includes a snap closure to make it comfortable and convenient for all your belongings. This little bag also includes a chain strap to convert it into a shoulder bag. With eight colors to choose from, you may be overwhelmed but why not get more than one? Kate Bosworth knows a how to rock a floral clutch like the one she wore when she hosted the Valentino Cocktail Party. Her floral petal nude clutch matched her nude top perfectly and contrasted well with her bright red skinny pants.
Finally a woman’s evening bag that is a little less formal but all the more amazing is the Wild Rose suede and faux croc skin patchwork clutch. This one is a little on the larger size yet still keeping it evening appropriate. The fold over closure is comfortable and a completely more chic than your average snap and close. This little one is decorated in patches of complementing fabrics and patterns to make it a little more rustic and totally appropriate for a night out clubbing or just a quick lunch with friends. An example of how a bag like this would work in the late evening hours is Whitney Port who accessorized her ensemble with a gorgeous and summer appropriate fold over clutch at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. Her Yigal Azrouel dress was yellow and beige and her Sergio Rossi booties a darker beige, the clutch she took was also a shade of beige with  a little bit of orange accent. The bag is simple, chic, and not too overbearing when worn with a short dress. The best part about our patchwork is that you can fit a little more than just your lipstick and keys into it!
So get the bag from Ladies Outfitters. Get it before the shoes, the dress, or the jewelry and enjoy it even if you haven’t found your perfect outfit yet. At least you’ll have the perfect clutch or two, or three, or four…
